The ‘Jonny Quest’ Opening Comes Alive With Stop-Motion Animation [Video]

Even if you’ve never watched a full episode of Hanna-Barbera’s ’60s staple Jonny Quest, its influence as an animated adventure show still shines brightly in The Venture Bros. Watching Roger D. Evans’ stellar, action figure-studded stop-motion animated recreation of the original Jonny Quest opening sequence, it’s easy to understand why — there are tough dudes, mildly insane kids and a cute dog fighting dinosaurs, mummies, robots, snakes and more. As faithful as Evans and his crew’s shot-for-shot recreation of the show’s opening is, it’s loving hi-res recreation is arguably totally even more exciting than the original.
