Chris Samnee drew The Phantom.
BRB, gotta fistbump the heavens forever.

Think of what a strange family the various Phantoms have. Growing up, growing old, passing on — their whole life is training to be, being, and dying as The Ghost Who Walks. You grow up in a literal cave thinking all this is normal. You can kill a man with your bare hands by the time you’re twelve. Your father teaches you to shoot with fresh knife wounds on his arm. And even when you leave the jungle, you can’t talk to anyone about it, or else the secret is out and your whole family is in danger. Imagine that. It’s like witness protection, only your dad is actively fighting some of the same groups you’re keeping secret from. And it’s normal. I keep coming back to that. All this is normal to you. By the time you leave home for college abroad, it doesn’t matter what you see. Your course is set. You are the next Phantom. Eventually your dad’s going to die and it’s up to you to put on the ring and start the cycle all over again.
It’s not a bad life, but it’s a very strange one. From our perspective, that is.
