MEET THE NEW SILVER RANGER FROM ‘POWER RANGERS SUPER MEGAFORCE’
You may have noticed that here at ComicsAlliance, we are pretty excited about the Power Rangers, and Power Rangers Super Megaforce, in addition to having 300% more adjectives than other adventure shows, is probably the most exciting of all. It’s built around the theme of pirate Power Rangers who celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise by transforming into past Rangers (and unlocking their secret powers with the help of guest stars returning from previous seasons), and that’s definitely something we’re into.
That’s why we’re pretty pleased to be a part of introducing the world to Cameron Jebo, the actor who will be playing the all-new Silver Ranger in upcoming episodes. Check out the exclusive video to meet him and learn a little more about his role in the series.
The singer in question is PelleK, who’s been getting attention lately for his energetic, soaring cover songs like Frozen‘s “Let It Go” and Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball,” but since those songs aren’t about teenagers with attitude fighting monsters in a giant robot, I’m comfortable in declaring that nobody cares about them. This, however, is fantastic — and considering that he sings every song from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers all the way up to Power Rangers Super Megaforce in one continuous shot, it’s actually really impressive, too.
Toy Fair 2014: Power Rangers At The Bandai Booth
Saban’s localization of Toei’s Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Power Rangers Super Megaforce, finally kicked off on Nickelodeon this past weekend, and Bandai was celebrating the premiere in a big way at Toy Fair 2014. The core component of the line, of course, is Ranger Keys — the tiny totems of every Power Ranger’s abilities that the Super Megaforce crew use to transform into any Ranger from history — but the team’s default pirate-themed gear was also prominently displayed. Classic Mighty Morphin reissues were also on display, including the Legendary Dragonzord and Titanus the Carrierzord.
Knowing what to buy anyone during the holidays can make for a pretty dicey season of giving. But toy collectors with discerning tastes? That’s usually gift card territory. But it doesn’t have to end that way! We’re here to help with a guide breaking down some of the most awesome action figure and toy options for the young and young at heart (mostly the latter). Whatever your articulated plastic budget is this year, we’ve got recommendations sure to please. Hit the jump for ComicsAlliance’s 2013 Holiday Gift Guide to Awesome Action Figures.
It’s almost Halloween and that means three things are on everyone’s mind, costumes, monsters and monster costumes. You could spend your entertainment hours trying to get your fill of all that jazz through conventional methods, but I propose the more efficient alternative of living vicariously through The Power Rangers — or as I like to call them, mankind’s single greatest collective contribution to existence. After all, with their constant costumed monster slaying, they deliver all of the Halloween hotness a human requires. Regardless of whether or not you agree with that line of completely unreasonable reasoning, you should nevertheless take note of this list of essential Power Rangers Halloween episodes to watch from the franchise’s various seasons (which are all available to watch instantly on Netflix, by the way) after the jump.

Q: What are the best halloween themed Power Ranger episodes? —@I_AM_maxHELL
A: I’m about 400 episodes into my attempt to watch the past 20 years worth of Power Rangers, and one of the things that has consistently surprised me is that there aren’t a whole lot of holiday-themed episodes. There’s a Christmas special here and there and a couple of episodes where they staple a Jack O’Lantern onto some existing footage and call it a Halloween special, but those are very few and far between. Maybe that’ll change once I get up to Mystic Force, the season where they use their witchity powers to battle an army of the undead. You’d think they’d be doing a lot more than they did.

But is that really a good thing? I have my doubts, which is why I’m spending every day taking on the store-bought costumes inspired by our favorite things. Today, we’re finding out what happens when you dress up as teenagers with attitudes with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers costumes!
