Jason Fischer To Mash 55 Monsters Into Upcoming ‘Monstroleum: Monsters Of The Dragon’s Keep’ Series
By Caleb Goellner
Jason Fischer aka JFish has got his monsters on his mind and his mind on his monsters — and he’s transporting them to paper with Monstroleum: Monsters of the Dragon’s Keep, a five-volume encyclopedia of sorts covering the characteristics of 55 total foes (11 per volume) that readers might encounter on a dungeon crawl. But that’s not all. To expedite the process, JFish is offering three tiers of subscription preorders that will put even more mythological menaces in the hands of his fans.

ALTERNATE HEADLINE: Selected Ambient Works: Giannis Milonogiannis, Dean Motter, and Retrofuturism in Comics
By Andy Khouri
As I scrolled through all 356 pages of Selected Ambient Works: 11-13, a free PDF download compiling tons of sketches, fan art, comic book pages and finished illustrations by Giannis Milonogiannis, creator of Archaia’s Old City Blues and contributing artist to Image’s Prophet, I thought to myself, “Is Milonogiannis a retrofuturist? Steve Rude Shows Off ‘Adventures of Superman’ Cover, DC Reveals Additional Creators
By Andy Khouri
The best Superman comic book currently published is about to get even better with the addition of Steve Rude, arguably one of today’s best living American comic book artists. The April 14 edition of DC Comics’ digital-first Adventures of Superman anthology will see the master storyteller collaborate with writer (and a brilliant, influential artist in his own right) Jerry Ordway for a Superman story starring OMAC, a cult favorite creation of Rude’s hero, Jack Kirby.
ALLRED’S SILVER SURFER #1 LOOKS… RADD*
Marvel teased a bit of Mike Allred ’s art when it announced he’d be working with writer Dan Slott on a new Silver Surfer ongoing series a few months back during New York Comic Con, but today the publisher finally hit us with a wave of shiny new Norrin Radd art. In addition to Allred’s previously seen cover, there’s three new pages from March’s Silver Surfer #1 infused with the Madman creator and recent FF artist’s brand of cosmic comic energy, plus a variant cover by Francesco Francavilla, an animal variant by Chris Samnee and a (appropriately dubbed) young variant by Skottie Young. I’m pretty sure that if Kid Galactus chopmed down every planet in adorable cereal-bowl-style, Reed Richards would’ve just let him have Earth.

Like everyone else, the staff of ComicsAlliance was deeply saddened this week by the death of Harold Ramis. As an actor, writer and director, Ramis had a hand in crafting some of the films that shaped our lives and our sense of humor, including Caddyshack, Animal House and, of course, Ghostbusters, where he played the deadpan Dr. Egon Spengler and cracked up countless moviegoers just by telling them print was dead.
Ramis leaves behind an incredible legacy in the world of film, but artists across the world reacted to the news with their own tributes to the man and his work.
