Evan McIsaac’s Construction Paper Sailor Moon Music Video Is A Sight To Behold
By Chris Sims
Back when I was an impressionable teen, I used to watch a ton of Anime Music Videos. I assume they’re still around (especially now that you don’t have to spend all night downloading them on Usenet), but on the off chance that you’re not familiar, the idea was that people would edit together scenes from anime to one of the popular tunes of the day. My personal favorite was one for LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out,” if only because the line “Kinda like Shaft, so you could say I’m Shaftin’” was accompanied by a clip from Shaft in the middle of a bunch of anime.
Anyway, I haven’t watched any in a long while, but it’s nice to see that, at least in one case, the art form has evolved in new and terrifying ways. Witness young Evan McIsaac, lip synching Estelle and Janelle Monae’s “Do My Thing” while wearing construction paper costumes of all of Sailor Moon’s Sailor Scouts. All of them. At the same time. It is glorious.

By Ziah Grace
Universal Pictures has released a trailer for its upcoming supernatural action film R.I.P.D, based on the comic series by Peter Lenkov and Lucas Marangon, published by Dark Horse.
The upcoming film, starring comic book movie alums Jeff Bridges (Iron Man) and Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern/Blade Trinity, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), is about two deceased former-lawmen tasked by God to hunt down renegade ghosts hiding among the living as part of a secret organization known as the R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department).

Patton Oswalt’s Epic ‘Star Wars’ Rant On ‘Parks and Recreation’
Parks and Recreation, a show about politics in a small U.S. town, often finds clever ways to parody various topical issues taking place in Washington D.C. Tomorrow’s episode is no different, as this time they’re taking a shot at much debated filibuster reform, and they’ve enlisted the help of Patton Oswalt to do so. Oswalt, playing the role of one of Pawnee’s many insane passionate citizens, goes on a completely improvised nerd rant in which he recites what he believes should be the plot of the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII, including an aging Luke, Han and Leia crossing over into the Marvel film universe as they team up with the Avengers, Spider-Man, the X-Men and more to take on Thanos. Not all of the Avengers make it into Oswalt’s cut, as he’s replaced “second tier” characters Hawkeye and Black Widow with noted Marvel A-lister Moon Knight. Naturally.
You can see the full video above, and while this is obviously meant to be a joke, let us all pray to our respective deity’s that no executive at Disney ever hears this proposal.
Parting Shot: The Dark Knight Vs. Patton Oswalt’s Penguin
By Andy Khouri
Viral video makers Front Page Films have been mining Christopher Nolan’s ultra-serious Dark Knight trilogy for comedy for a while now in an ongoing series of “Badman” shorts that have parodied everything from Batman Vs. the Scarecrow to Batman vs. Two-Face, Batman Vs. The Riddler, Batman Vs. an Innocent Clown, Batman Vs. Sex and Batman Vs. Suicide. Their latest effort casts comedian Patton Oswalt as a real-world, sort of Nolan-esque version of The Penguin, who confronts the Dark Knight with some compelling questions about his “no killing” rule.

‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ To Continue Video Game Series Without Rocksteady
As previously reported, a third game in the Batman Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Origins, is coming out this year, Game Informer has revealed. It’ll be out on October 25. But it’s not what fans of the series might expect, for a few reasons.
Here’s what we know about it so far: It’s a prequel that will take place before either of the other two games in the series and will feature a young Batman meeting many key characters (so far, only Deathstroke has been confirmed). The big news, though, is that Rocksteady Studios, the developer that helmed Arkham Asylum andArkham City, won’t be involved this time. Warner Bros. Games Montreal is taking the reins.
New ‘Lego Marvel Super Heroes’ Images And Gameplay Footage Arrive
It’s been a little while since TT Games loosed some Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game images or footage online, but the company has more than made up for the dry spell with the latest drop of new screen shots and nearly seven minutes of gameplay footage featuring Iron Man, the Hulk and Spider-Man, squaring off against the Abomination and Sandman in New York City. It seems one of the cosmic bricks from Lego Silver Surfer’s smashed board has fallen into the wrong hands, leading to Sandman and cohorts taking over NYC’s Grand Central Terminal. Fortunately for the minifigs citizens of the LMSH world, Nick Fury is extra good at getting Marvel’s heroes to work together to fight evil and pick up the pieces.
